Tron: Ares

I’ve written previously about how the original 1982 Tron movie from Disney inspired me to pursue a career in technology. Like many others, I patiently waited 28 years for Disney to get the idea to release a sequel, Tron: Legacy. It’s been another 15 years and countless relationships for Oliva Wilde. We may never learn what happened to Sam and Quora, but it looks like we’ll learn what happened to Jeff Bridges, aka Kevin Flynn, when Tron: Ares is released later this year on October 10, 2025.

The movie Tron helped me discover the music of Wendy Carlos. I was already familiar with Daft Punk, which was a genius move for the soundtrack to Tron: Legacy. I’ve never been a big Nine Inch Nails fan, but given all of the “red” in the trailer, no doubt Trent Reznor will create just the right mood for the film.

Are you looking forward to Tron: Ares?
