The short answer is “no”, there will be coal in your stocking instead. “Q1 is the anticipated (but not committed) time frame” for Business Objects Edge Series 3.1. In the meantime, check out Business Objects Edge Series 3.0.

SAP BusinessObjects Edge Series 3.1 was released earlier this week. I haven’t downloaded it yet, but it’s available at http://service.sap.com/bosap-downloads (S-ID required)
no-one from SAP told me, but I’m going to download it straight away 😀

I haven’t had any luck on the “Help” portal or the “Support” portal finding the supported platforms guide or any other Edge 3.1 documentation. Maybe what I need will be in the actual software download…
