Writing

Writing

I’ve been writing about SAP BusinessObjects, analytics, and related technologies for many years. While much of that work appears on this blog, I have also contributed articles to ASUG, LinkedIn, the SAP Community, the Speak BO Community, and other publications. This page collects many of those articles in one place. Some entries have been preserved through the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine because the original publications are no longer available. If you’d like to discuss a writing opportunity, contact me at dallas AT dallasmarks DOT com.

InfoSol Blog

InfoSol is a business intelligence consulting firm with a talented team, loyal customers, and a long history in the SAP BusinessObjects community. As of September 2025, it is also my home.

Speak BO Community

Speak BO is the go-to hub for BusinessObjects webinars, training tutorials, information exchange, expert insights, live events, and a thriving global user community built on real experience and shared knowledge. Registration is free and there are paid options to unlock additional features and training options.

SAP Community

The SAP Community allows SAP professionals to connect and engage with other professionals to get answers, discuss best practices, and continually learn more about SAP solutions. Formerly known as the SAP Community or SCN, you can follow me on the SAP Community at dallasmarks.

EV Technologies

I was employed by EV Technologies from June 2012 until June 2021. The company rebranded and refocused in 2020 as VedaPointe. While at EV Technologies, I wrote numerous articles about SAP BusinessObjects that no longer exist, except for the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. Thankfully, these historical web pages can be accessed here.

Global Knowledge

Jim Brogden, the lead author for the SAP Press books about Web Intelligence, recruited me to write some articles for Global Knowledge about the importance of training. Thanks to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, these historical web pages can be accessed here.

Notable and Quotable

Unfortunately, many of these articles were not captured by the Internet Archive.
