Business Objects Text Clouds

Today I was reading a post-debate article in the LA Times concerning last night’s US Vice Presidential debate between Senator Joe Biden and Governor Sarah Palin. Entitled Palin vs. Biden: A war of Wordles, it featured a web application named Wordle. Wordle, “a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide,” provided a quick visualization of the frequency of word use between the two candidates.

Toy? That sounds fun. So here is the result when Wordle examines my Business Objects blog.

Wordle, a text cloud generator, used to occupy wordle.net before being decommissioned due to the death of browser-side Java.

I gave Wordle another try in 2010 – check out The Possibilities of Text Analytics.
