I’ve been selected to share three sessions at the 2026 IBIS conference at the outstanding Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, from June 22 to 24, 2026. Besides speaking about BusinessObjects, I’ll be sharing insights about my other interests, including InfoSol’s InfoBurst, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, and Databricks. Plus, I’m hosting a roundtable discussion about AI and its role in corporate analytics and business intelligence.

IBIS is the premier gathering for the global SAP BusinessObjects community, offering three immersive days of technical sessions, hands‑on learning, real‑world case studies, and invaluable peer networking at the luxurious Ritz‑Carlton Dove Mountain. Whether you want to dive into the newest BusinessObjects features in BI 2025, explore the roadmap toward BI 2027, or sharpen your skills through expert-led sessions, IBIS provides the richest environment to learn, connect, and grow. It’s also one of the few places where you can engage directly with top SAP and BusinessObjects experts, exchanging ideas, asking questions, and gaining insights that simply aren’t available anywhere else. If you work with SAP BusinessObjects, this is the event where you’ll find your tribe—and return home energized with new techniques, perspectives, and professional connections.

IBIS is also an outstanding place to dive deep into InfoSol’s InfoBurst and Squirrel365, with dedicated breakout sessions led by product experts and users. InfoBurst breathes new life into your analytics platform, whether your organization uses Power BI, Tableau, or SAP BusinessObjects. And with Squirrel’s growing role in modern, no-code dashboarding, attendees can explore its latest innovations and integrations, including AI. Best of all, IBIS gives you direct access to the product teams and experts behind these tools, making it the ideal environment to ask questions, get guidance, and shape how you use InfoBurst and Squirrel in your own BI strategy.

The conference hotel, the Ritz‑Carlton Dove Mountain, sits in a stunning Sonoran Desert landscape filled with towering saguaros, rugged canyons, and vibrant wildlife—from rabbits and javelinas to the wild horses that roam the nearby Tortolita Mountains. IBIS attendees can step right into nature with access to 26 miles of walking, hiking, and biking trails winding through the surrounding preserve. With a pair of comfortable shoes, it’s easy to experience the area’s beauty up close. And walk off some of the calories from THE famous Ritz-Carlton cake.

Using SAP BusinessObjects Universes in your Power BI and Tableau dashboards

Day 1 | Monday June 22, 2026 | 3:30 – 4:10 PM

The BusinessObjects universe is a powerful semantic layer. InfoSol’s InfoBurst makes it possible to use those time-tested assets in your Power BI and Tableau dashboards, saving time and money instead of recreating semantic layers or queries. In this session, you’ll see how easy it is to bring trusted data to your dashboard projects.

Session Roundtable: Will AI Kill Off Data Analysts— or Make Them Superhuman?

Day 2 | Tuesday June 23, 2026 | 2:15 – 2:55 PM

AI is everywhere—writing code, generating insights, even predicting what you’ll binge-watch next. But here’s the big question: Will AI replace data analysts—or empower them to do more than ever before?
In this roundtable discussion, we’ll explore both sides of the story:

  • The Utopian vision where AI automates the grunt work, freeing analysts to focus on strategy and storytelling.
  • The dystopian nightmare where algorithms run wild, decisions go unchecked, and humans become obsolete.

Think Terminator’s Skynet, Ex Machina, or HAL 9000—Hollywood has warned us about AI-gone-bad. But is reality heading that way? Or will analysts become the superheroes of the data-driven future?

Join us for a provocative look at how AI is reshaping analytics—and what it means for your career.
Spoiler alert: The future isn’t written yet. You’ll help decide it.

Burst Into Cloud-Powered BI: Connecting SAP BusinessObjects to Modern Cloud Platforms

Day 3 | Wednesday June 24, 2026 | 11:45 AM – 12:25 PM

As organizations modernize their data landscapes, SAP BusinessObjects customers are increasingly exploring how to extend their BI environments into the cloud—but what does “cloud support” actually mean for the platform?

In this session, we’ll break down how BusinessObjects can evolve from a traditional on-premise deployment to hybrid or fully cloud-based architectures. We’ll examine the SAP Platform Availability Matrix to clarify which CMS and Audit databases are supported across major cloud providers, along with the range of cloud-based data sources the platform can access.

You’ll walk away with a clear, vendor-neutral understanding of how BusinessObjects fits into modern cloud ecosystems, including practical guidance on deployment options and integration patterns across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and SAP environments.

Rather than focusing on specific tools, the session emphasizes supported configurations and real-world considerations for connecting BusinessObjects to cloud data platforms.

The session concludes with a real-world case study from Tenet Healthcare, highlighting their migration to Google BigQuery and demonstrating how it integrates with both SAP BusinessObjects and InfoBurst for enterprise reporting and distribution.
