I remember first meeting Mahesh at the at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. I was already friends with Kingfisher employees Matt Hawkins and Jay Riddle, whom I met at Kingfisher’s booth or likely in a breakout session back in the heyday of SAP and BusinessObjects. Back in those days, you could count on seeing Decision First (later acquired by Protiviti), InfoSol, and Kingfisher booths at SAP SAPPHIRE and ASUG BusinessObjects events.

Mahesh J. Desai passed away at the age of 53 on Wednesday October 31st, 2018, in the hospital. He was born July 28th, 1965, in India. His survivors include his wife Neena Patel; two daughters, Dolly Patel and Pooja Patel; and one son, Raj Patel. He enjoyed socializing with his family and friends and watching Amitabh Bachchan movies. He loved talking on the phone and was always seen with a Bluetooth earpiece on. He liked to stay warm, and you hardly ever caught him without his hat on despite the time of year. He respected and loved everyone equally regardless of their socioeconomic status, religion or race. He was a loving father, husband, son and friend to all. He was a very generous, kindhearted man who touched the lives of many near and far. He believed in second chances and never gave up on anyone. He performed many acts of charity and always volunteered his help to others around him. Mahesh worked very hard in his life and achieved great success. He was strong-willed and determined. According to him, nothing in life is impossible and you should never give up. A special thank you to all the friends and family for your love and support.
