June was frantic month putting last-minute touches on presentations for the 2026 IBIS conference, which was held at the Ritz‑Carlton Dove Mountain in Marana, AZ. June also marked my return to the classroom, as I spent three days teaching Webi Like a Pro for BI 4.3.

The Adaptive Processing Server Adapts
I wrote a three-part series about the changes to the Adaptive Processing Server in SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025. Seeing which services are new and which are retired provides a different perspective on the features SAP deprecated in BI 4.3 that are no longer present in BI 2025. The article series provided background to my IBIS 2026 presentation and helped me see SAP’s BusinessObjects strategy in a new light.

SAP BI 2025 WIDX vs Microsoft Windows Smart App Control
Who could resist writing an article that says SAP BusinessObjects has a big problem with SAC? SAC in this case is Microsoft Windows Smart App Control. This feature is quietly appearing on brand new Windows machines but doesn’t cooperate with SAP’s new WIDX format for off-line Web Intelligence.
